How to Generate Money for Donation!

Because I asked many of my friends yesterday to do "what they can" for the Great Tohoku Kanto Earthquake, I did "what I can" today.

Several days ago, I saw Costco ad on a large SONY LCD TV with 3D and Wi-Fi functions, which prompted me to buy a new one - current one is 45" 10-year old SONY reflection TV.

After deep consideration and thorough comparison, I and my wife decided to give up SONY and to buy VIZIO without 3D and Wi-Fi which is >$500 cheaper than SONY. In addition, we went our for Costco in New Hampshire to save some tax.

Of course I will send this $500 to Japan. Although SONY pictue quality "may" be a bit better, it is more worthy to use the money to help with recovery efforts after the disaster in Japan, isn't it?

Coo is dying with curiosity on any "new" stuff. He is a kitten even though he is >12 lb.

He jumped into the large box of the new TV, but could not come out. Coo would be dumped into the dustbin at this moment if in the wild.

Coo in my Suitcase - スーツケースの中のクー

Suitcases were pulled out from the basement to start packing for our trip to Europe from Monday next week. As expected, Coo came around and settled down in the suitcase.

月曜から旅行に出かけるので、荷造りを始めるべくスーツケースを引っ張り出してきた。案の定、クーがやってきてスーツケースの中に納まった。

Coo was the first thing to be in my brand new carry-on size suitcase. He will never miss it.

Happy Birthday! - ハッピー・バースデー！

Coo just turned one year old on December 14.  He is now over 5 kilogram with lion mane.

クーは、１２月１４日に満一歳になった。体重も５キロを超え、ライオンのようなたてがみも立派になった。

I made a space in the bookshelf for a new wireless printer, and then as expected Coo fitted into the space.

新しく買ったワイヤレス・プリンターを設置しようとして本棚を整理して隙間を作ったら、案の定クーがはまり込んだ。

I brought Coo to Banfield Veterinary Services in practice at PetSmart in Cambridge for the first annual check.

今日は、満一歳の定期健診。

In a Shoebox - 靴箱の中で

I am going out for NY tomorrow. I took a can of mink oil from a shoebox to polish my shoes. While I kept the door open, as expected, Coo came to go into the only one small space to fit in. He has never missed such rare chance. Coo is getting there - square Coo. he is now on my lap and sleeping so deep.

Square Coo - 四角いクー

Coo loves bookself. Coo has grown up too big to fit into the shelf.  But, once getting through, Coo is square.

クーの大好きな本棚。最近は体が大きくなって、小さい棚には入りきらない。入ると、棚の形に合わせて四角くなってしまう。

Another recent favorite is the banister on the second floor. Coo is a Siberian Forest Cat, and it is reasonable that he likes elevated places.  It seems to be fun for him to see us from there. It's his spot. He goes into sleep soon.

最近のお気に入りは二回の階段の手すり。クーは「Siberian Forest Cat」、シベリアの森にいたネコだから、高いところが好きなのも頷ける。高いところから人間界を見ているのは楽しそうだし、落ち着けるようだ。直に寝てしまう。

This is also his recent favorite place - on a TV set. It's still too high for Coo to get on it without thrashing his hind legs. He watches TV programs from there and comes onto someone's head.

Coo caught a fly today! He dushed, jumped, and then hit a fly. Of course he ate it finally. Yes, Coo is a wild CAT! Go Coo!

クーは今日、ハエを捕まえた！　クーはダッシュし、ジャンプし、そしてハエをパシッとたたき落とした。もちろん、そのハエを食べてしまった。そう、クーは野生のねこ。がんばれ、クー！



However, after catching a fly, he got very exhausted and needed to cool down for a while.

しかし、ハエを捕まえた後、クーは疲れきってしばらくの間クール・ダウンしていなければならなかったのだ。

Coo loves hide and seek. He does not move while I am looking at him, and he gets up closer with stealthy steps while I am not.

Coo 3.7 kg (7 Months Old)

Coo is 3.7 kg today (7 months old).

Coo weighed less than 1 kg when he joined our family on February 13, 2010 (2 months old), about 2 kg on April 3 (4 months old) and 3 kg on May 9 (5 months old).

Although it seems his grwoth rate has been lowered, he will be at least 7-9 kg, and which could take up to 4-5 years.

Coo loves a trash bag.

Every morning, Coo shows tireless curiosity on "cornflakes." Sitting behind the wall of cornflake bags, Coo is peeping me eating cornflakes.

It's so funny to see Coo coming out suddenly through the cornflake bags, expecting a peace of cornflake.
